Yanilis Romero holds a Master degree in English Language Teaching (ELT) and is studying a PHD in Education in Universidad del Norte. She has worked for about fifteen years researching on projects regarding the improvement of teaching and learning English processes with different audiences in public institutions. She is conducting research which comprises two main objectives: making connections of students’ learning with real contexts so this knowledge may be long lasting and become students in agents of change within the communities they live in.
